The 2GIG SMKT8E-345 is an encrypted, multi-sensor wireless life safety device designed for residential security systems. It combines optical smoke detection, dual heat sensing, and freeze monitoring in a single compact unit, providing comprehensive environmental protection for your home.
Smoke and heat detection uses advanced photoelectric technology to identify both slow-smoldering and fast-flaming fires while reducing nuisance alarms from cooking or steam. Dual heat sensors trigger alerts on rapid temperature rise or when high-temperature thresholds are exceeded, offering faster response to developing fires. The integrated freeze sensor alerts you to dangerously low temperatures that could cause pipe damage and water loss.
The SMKT8E-345 is fully supervised with tamper protection, reporting fault and low-battery status to your 2GIG control panel. Secure 345MHz encrypted RF communication prevents signal interception. Built-in 85dB sounder provides local alarm notification at 10 feet. With a sealed-in lithium battery and 10-year product life, the detector requires no maintenance or battery changes throughout its operational lifetime.
